Main Roads & Alleys

We spent the second day in Kyoto in a very touristy fashion and enjoyed every bit of it. I found that the Kyoto has the makings of any famous city known for its history; it is both beautiful and unique. It’s also interesting to see how the locals have coped with merging the contemporary and the historic. This is most evidently displayed in the image of many Ema (wooden prayer plaques) hanging on a post that had been tagged with graffiti.
